Rigging Service Professionals

What separates us from other rigging contractors? Our rigging service professionals plan every lift before the crew arrives, and the same crew stays with the job from the first sling to the final levelling.
They know how to handle valuable machinery and rigging equipment: they confirm the weight, centre of gravity and lifting points, rig each load with rated slings and hardware, and move it with the method that suits the space. Toronto plants call us when they need industrial movers and riggers for a single machine, a line re-layout or a full plant move.
Specialized Machinery Moving & Rigging Services

Looking for machinery installation or relocation in Toronto, ON? Our machine moving & rigging services cover both. We rig the machine, move it across the plant or onto a trailer, and set it in place at its new position, level and ready for your electricians to reconnect.
Every job gets the method that fits the load and the building: machinery skates, a hydraulic gantry, jack-and-roll, or an overhead lift by a licensed crane partner when a crane is the safer choice. Lifts onto a roof, a mezzanine or an upper floor are covered on our crane rigging and heavy lifting in Toronto page.

Prioritizing Safety in Every Rigging Job

Your safety, and the safety of your people and your building, comes first. On every rigging job:
- Planned lifts: weight, centre of gravity and lifting points are confirmed, and floors are checked along the load path.
- Rated gear: slings, shackles and rigging hardware rated for the load.
- Lockout first: your maintenance team or your licensed electricians disconnect power, air and water before rigging starts.
- Power lines: Ontario’s construction regulation (O. Reg. 213/91) keeps equipment at least 3 metres (10 feet) from energized overhead lines of 750 to 150,000 volts, so we check overhead lines at the lift site and on the route.
- Clear lift zone: only the rigging crew works under and around a raised load.
On your site, we also follow your plant’s own safety rules and work permits.

Expert Rigging Project Planning
Got an upcoming rigging project in Toronto, Ontario? Let our rigging experts plan it with you. We review photos, drawings and the machine’s specifications, visit the site when access is tight, and choose the method, crew and equipment. The plan also covers the route out of the building and the schedule, so your rigging project finishes on time.
Industrial Rigging Professionals, from Rigging to Set-in-Place
Our team of industrial rigging professionals includes riggers, drivers and millwrights, so one crew can rig, move, set in place and level your machinery. You deal with one company instead of a rigging company, a trucking company and an installer.
How We Rig and Lift Machinery in Toronto
Every rigging job we take on follows the same seven steps:
- Job details: what needs to be lifted or moved, its weight and size, photos, and where it is going.
- Site check: doors, ceiling height, floor capacity, overhead obstructions and lifting points, with a site visit when needed.
- Rigging plan: the method, rigging gear, crew and sequence, built around the load’s centre of gravity, plus permits if the load travels on public roads.
- Disconnect and lockout: your maintenance team or your licensed electricians disconnect power, air and water.
- Rig and lift: rated slings and hardware, then skates, a hydraulic gantry, jack-and-roll or a crane lift by a licensed crane partner.
- Move: across the plant, to another building, or onto a trailer for transport.
- Set in place: the machine is lowered onto its new footprint, levelled and left ready for reconnection.
Heavy Industrial Rigging Equipment We Use

For heavy industrial rigging in Toronto, we match specialized rigging equipment to the load and the space:
- Machinery skates to roll machines across the plant floor
- Hydraulic gantries to lift machines where there is no overhead crane
- Jack-and-roll systems to raise very heavy equipment in stages and roll it into place
- Heavy-capacity lift trucks to load, unload and position machines
- Rated slings, shackles and rigging hardware for every pick
- Trailers matched to the load when the job includes transport
- Crane lifts through licensed crane partners when a job needs one
Rigging Only or a Full Move
Need equipment riggers for a job inside your plant, or a crew that also handles the move? Choose the scope that fits:
- Rigging only: our riggers come to your site and lift, skid and position machines with no trucking, for example to re-lay out a line, move a machine to another bay or set a new machine your dealer has delivered.
- Full move: we rig the machine out, haul it to the new site, set it in place and level it, with millwright installation if you need it.
Either way, you get one quote for the whole scope. If the machine is leaving the building, our machinery movers in Toronto page covers transport and relocation in more detail.
Machinery Transport and Permits in Toronto
When a rigging job includes transport, we load the machine on a trailer suited to its weight and size and arrange the permits. In Toronto, a truck and load that reaches 2.59 m wide, 4.15 m high, 21.33 m long or 50 t needs a City of Toronto single-trip oversize load permit. It normally takes 7 to 10 business days, and the route must be scouted 48 hours before the move. Oversize loads are not allowed on the Don Valley Parkway, Black Creek Drive, the Allen Expressway, the elevated part of Lake Shore Boulevard West or the Gardiner east of the Humber River. Provincial highways need an MTO oversize/overweight permit, which Ontario asks carriers to request at least 5 business days ahead.
Set-in-Place, Levelling and Millwright Installation
At the new position our riggers lower the machine onto its footprint, then our millwrights level and align it and leave it ready for your electricians and the OEM technician. Machines that travel in sections are reassembled on site, in the order your production line needs them. Installing new equipment rather than moving it? Our millwright services and machinery installation in Toronto page covers alignment, anchoring and the hand-over to your OEM for start-up.

Industrial Rigging in Toronto: FAQ
Industrial rigging is the planned lifting, moving and placing of heavy machinery and plant equipment. Riggers work out the load’s weight, centre of gravity and lifting points, choose rated slings and hardware, and move the machine with skates, a hydraulic gantry, jack-and-roll or a crane. In Toronto we rig everything from single CNC machines to full production lines, then set them in place and level them.
An industrial rigging contractor plans and carries out heavy lifts and machine moves in plants and between sites. Our Toronto rigging contractors check access and floors, prepare the rigging plan, rig and lift the machine, move it to its new position or onto a trailer, and finally set it in place and level it. Transport, permits and millwright installation can be part of the same job.
Yes. Our riggers can lift, skid and position machines inside your plant with no trucking, for example to re-lay out a line, move a machine to another bay or set a new machine your dealer has delivered. If the machine leaves the site, we add transport, permits and set-in-place at the new address and quote the whole job together.
Rigging is priced per job. The cost depends on the weight and size of each machine, access at both ends, the method used (skates, a gantry, jack-and-roll or a crane lift by a licensed partner), whether transport and permits are needed, and timing such as shutdowns or weekends. Use our Heavy Lifting and Moving Calculator for a rough range, or send the details for an exact quote.
Usually not. Most in-plant rigging uses machinery skates, hydraulic gantries and jack-and-roll systems, which work under low ceilings and through standard doors. When a lift does need a crane, for example to lift a machine over an obstruction or off a trailer in an open yard, a licensed crane partner performs it as part of our rigging plan. We do not rent out cranes.
Heavy rigging is rigging for loads too large or heavy for standard lifting equipment, such as presses, transformers, large machining centres and sections of production lines. It calls for a detailed plan, rated rigging gear and methods like hydraulic gantries and jack-and-roll, which raise and move the load in controlled stages. Our Toronto riggers handle heavy rigging inside plants and at loading docks.
Rigging is the preparation: choosing the lifting points, slings, shackles and other hardware, and attaching them so the load stays balanced and secure. Lifting is the controlled raising and moving of the load once it is rigged, with a gantry, a jack-and-roll system, a lift truck or a crane. A safe job plans both together, which is why one crew handles them.
As early as you can. A City of Toronto single-trip oversize load permit normally takes 7 to 10 business days, and the route has to be scouted 48 hours before the move. Ontario asks carriers to apply for an MTO permit at least 5 business days ahead. Rigging-only jobs inside a plant need no road permit, so they can usually be scheduled sooner.
No. We do not rent or sell rigging gear, slings or supplies, and we do not rig stages, exhibitions or boats. Rigging-Busters handles industrial rigging only: lifting, moving and setting machinery and plant equipment for manufacturers in Toronto and the GTA. For hardware, contact a rigging supply store; for a machine, a production line or a plant move, send us the details.
All of Toronto, including Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough and the Port Lands, and the wider GTA: Vaughan and Concord, Markham, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Durham Region. We also take rigging jobs across southern Ontario, including the Waterloo Region through our industrial rigging services in Kitchener.
